This hostel is strategically located near the train station, so I can visit tourist spots easily. The lounge has comfy sofas, perfect for a lazy afternoon. And oh, let's not forget the coffee shop where I can grab a light bite. Fabulous!
Who needs a smoke detector or a security system? It's overrated!

The location of the hostel is really convenient, being very close to the subway and train stations. there is a convenient shop right next to it, making it easy to grab any necessities. the rooms are comfortable and clean, with modern facilities. the staff are friendly and helpful. the breakfast provided is tasty and included in the price.
The bar downstairs plays music constantly, which can be heard in the dorms, making it difficult to have a quiet and peaceful environment.

The twin room was cozy and comfortable, with a TV and a private bathroom. I loved having my own space to relax after a long day of exploring Kyoto. The power outlets in the room were also super handy for charging my devices.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shared bathrooms in the other rooms. But hey, that's just my preference.

Great location, only a 7-minute walk from Kyoto Station and right next to a subway station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. the bunks were really comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen was a bonus. the place was clean and had a trendy vibe. the cafe downstairs was a great place to hang out and the staff were friendly. a fantastic experience!
That there was a smoking area right outside our room, which was a bit inconvenient for us as non-smokers. Some guests were also noisy at night, and the staff didn't always enforce quiet hours.

The twin room at The Lower East Nine Hostel was cozy and comfortable. I loved having my own private bathroom and a TV in the room. The air conditioning was a real blessing during the hot summer days in Kyoto. It felt like a home away from home.
I'm not a fan of sharing bathrooms, so that was a bit of a downside for me.

The hostel is conveniently located near a train station, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and not too cramped. Best of all, the showers were top-notch, with mirrors included - perfect for those who wet shave their head!
There was no free instant coffee available for guests, which was a bit of a letdown. Additionally, some guests experienced allergies, possibly due to mites in the blankets.
